Thomas (Tom) Percasky is the teaching principal at Sinai College. He has worked at Sinai College since 2016 and has taught from Year 1 to Year 6.
Tom started his education career in New Zealand where he taught physical education, health and social studies. He was part of a small team to create an integrated studies class to help students settle into high school life. It was from this experience that Tom developed his love for inquiry-based pedagogy.
Tom and his wife Emma then travelled to South Korea where they worked in an immersion primary school. They then had the opportunity to join an international school in Vietnam where they spent 6 years. Tom was a Year 6 teacher who then took over the running of the Physical Education and sports departments for a large International Baccalaureate school.
Tom enjoys helping create opportunities for students to learn and grow through experiences. He is a passionate about creating environments where students work together, develop confidence and come to school excited to learn.
Tom enjoys the outdoors, particularly fishing and rugby. He is the proud father of Jai and Beau.
