Sinai College is proud to have our own, dedicated reading dog in Romi, along with her dedicated human, Mrs. Shilton. Romi joins our College twice a week and for special events, and works with our children to improve their literacy, and overall wellbeing. Specially trained, Romi uses positive reinforcement to encourage fluency in our young readers, and enjoyment and enthusiasm in our most reluctant readers. Romi has been in invaluable addition to our College, accompanying children to special events and ceremonies, and helping to calm nerves on big days such as NAPLAN testing days.
